PALOMINO THE PARADISE OF THE MOUNTAINS
Jungle, beach, and mountains—hidden in La Guajira, we find this place nestled beside the Sierra Nevada. We'll depart in the morning and watch as the desert gives way to lush vegetation along the road to Palomino. Upon arrival, we'll hike through the heart of the mountains, ascend to a high point in the jungle, and then slowly float down the Palomino River in a tub, reaching the sea. We'll have lunch on the beach, then relax and enjoy this incredible destination.

DAY 2
PALOMINO > PUNTA GALLINAS
Let the adventure begin! We'll travel through salt lagoons and cactus forests along the road that will take us to Manaure. There, we'll stop and learn about the salt production process. Then we'll venture into the endless and magical desert, heading towards the northernmost point of South America, Punta Gallinas! We'll visit the Taroa Dunes (kilometers of sand that gently slope down to the Caribbean Sea), go to the Punta Gallinas lighthouse (the northernmost point of the continent), and spend the night in a magical spot in the middle of the desert, under millions of stars.

THE 3RD
PUNTA GALLINAS > CABO DE LA VELA
We'll explore the desert in the morning, heading towards the majestic viewpoints overlooking the endless bays of Portete. Then we'll continue along the road to Cabo de la Vela for lunch. This will be at a traditional Wayuu ranchería, where we'll share legends and culture. After lunch, we'll enjoy a tour of the most iconic spots (Rainbow Beach, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Ojo de Agua Beach) and watch the sunset from the legendary Cabo de la Vela Lighthouse. As night falls, dinner and a cocktail or other beverage await us, bringing an incredible day to a close.

CABO DE LA VELA > RIOHACHA
Después del desayuno y de disfrutar un poco más el Cabo de la Vela, de sus aguas tranquilas y poco profundas, retomamos la Ruta del desierto y llegamos a la capital indígena de Colombia, Uribía, allí descubriremos un poco de la historia y de la Cultura en el contexto de la ciudad. Después tomaremos camino a una playa virgen y escondida, Mayapo, almorzaremos aquí, disfrutaremos de la tarde y luego iremos rumbo a nuestro destino final, Riohacha. Así terminará una experiencia inolvidable con SUMAJ TOURS en La Guajira Colombiana.
