Día 1:
We'll enter ancestral lands, cross the desert, passing through cactus forests and Wayuu communities. After a 30-minute drive, you'll arrive at an oasis in the heart of the desert, where you can enjoy lunch overlooking one of the most beautiful pristine beaches in the Colombian Caribbean, with its turquoise waters.
Day 2:
MAYAPO > CAB O DE LA VELA
Let the adventure begin! We'll travel through salt lagoons and cactus forests along the road that will take us to Manaure. There, we'll stop and learn about the salt production process. Then we'll venture into the desert, heading towards Cabo de la Vela (Jepira, the place where the souls of the Wayuu people rest). We'll arrive in time for lunch, and afterward, we'll explore incredible places, such as Ojo de Agua, a place steeped in legend, and watch the sunset in a magical setting. Night will fall, bringing with it the opportunity to rest and enjoy the tranquility of the desert and a delicious traditional dinner.
Day 3:
CAPE OF THE VELA > RIOHACHA
In the morning, after breakfast, we'll explore the desert. We'll witness the birth of rainbows at Rainbow Beach and then hike to the sacred mountain, Cerro Kamaishi (Sugarloaf), where we'll learn about its mythical origins. After the hike, we'll have lunch in the village and then slowly return to Riohacha. This concludes a magical experience in La Guajira with SUMAJ TOURS.
