KNITTING TOUR
Wayuu weavers will teach you the art of crocheting so you can start your own Wayuu bag. Bring your crochet hook and the beginning of your weaving, and continue weaving throughout your trip. You will also have the privilege of witnessing the weavers making a hammock.
We explored the surroundings of the community, discovering its daily life, its habitat and its places of rest.
After the weaving activities, we will go to the Manaure Salt Flats and to finish, lunch will be at one of the most beautiful beaches in La Guajira, Mayapo, where we will spend the afternoon and return to Riohacha around 4pm.

Then we'll arrive at Cabo de la Vela (Jepira - the Wayuu name) to visit Rainbow Beach and the Sugarloaf Mountain (Kamaishi - an ancestral mountain), with its golden sands. After the tour, we'll share lunch with the Wayuu community of the Pushaina Clan, learning about their way of life, their customs, and connecting with their wisdom. Finally, we'll return to Riohacha, our hearts filled with incredible places and unforgettable experiences.

We will arrive at the Camarones Swamp directly onto our boats, carefully crafted to respect the flamingo habitat. Montes de Oca is a paradise in La Guajira, transformed from a dangerous and unexplored place into one of the department's best-kept secrets. To get there, we'll take the Troncal del Caribe highway, which connects Riohacha and Maicao. Once in Maicao, we'll take a turnoff to the village of Carraipia, where we'll begin a trail. We'll hike 1.4 kilometers, a journey filled with wonder and beauty. Numerous birds and lush vegetation will welcome us to this spring that begins to appear before our eyes. We'll reach the pools where we can bathe respectfully. Finally, local farmers will offer us a traditional meal wrapped in banana leaves, a meal designed to replenish our energy and help preserve the area's ecosystem.
