"Teyuna"
Hidden deep within the Sierra Nevada de Santa Marta, Teyuna was an important settlement of the indigenous Tayrona civilization. Built around 700 AD, this majestic ancestral city stretched across 30 hectares on a forested hillside, 1,200 meters above sea level, and housed more than 2,500 inhabitants.
For almost four centuries, Teyuna remained hidden under a dense layer of vegetation, until its rediscovery in the 1970s.
Today, exploring the Lost City is much more than an archaeological trip: it is an unforgettable journey through lush jungles, crystal-clear waterfalls, and viewpoints with spectacular vistas.
Every step along the path immerses you in a mystical landscape, accompanied by the sunrise over the mountains and the unique opportunity to connect with the indigenous communities that still inhabit the region. More than a destination, Teyuna is a transformative experience.
