THE FLAMINGO SANCTUARY
We'll depart for the Camarones swamp, where a meticulously crafted dugout canoe awaits us. We'll board this vessel and, guided by the wind, gently navigate the swamp to spot the majestic Pink Flamingos. We'll have time to appreciate their charm and capture stunning photographs. Upon returning to shore, we'll explore more about local life with Salin, our Wayuu host. Afterward, we'll head to Riohacha for the night, to rest and prepare for our next adventure.

DAY 2
RIOHACHA > PUNTA GALLINAS
We begin our exciting journey venturing into salt lagoons and cactus forests, taking the route towards Manaure, where we'll explore the fascinating salt production process. Afterward, we'll immerse ourselves in the vast and magical desert, heading for the northernmost point of South America: Punta Gallinas! We'll marvel at the Taroa Dunes, a stretch of sand that gently slopes down to the Caribbean Sea. We'll visit the Punta Gallinas lighthouse, located at the northernmost point of the continent, and then spend an unforgettable night in a magical place, under a sky illuminated by millions of stars.

PUNTA GALLINAS > CABO DE LA VELA
We explore the desert in the morning, heading towards majestic viewpoints that offer endless views of the bays from the Portete Viewpoint. We continue our journey to Cabo de la Vela, where we'll enjoy lunch at an authentic Wayuu ranchería, steeped in local legends and culture. Afterward, we'll immerse ourselves in a tour of iconic locations such as Rainbow Beach, Sugarloaf Mountain, and Ojo de Agua Beach, culminating in watching the sunset at the legendary Cabo de la Vela Lighthouse. The evening awaits us with a delicious dinner and a special cocktail or beverage to end an unforgettable day.

Después de un nutritivo desayuno y de sumergirnos un poco más en la serenidad del Cabo de la Vela con sus aguas tranquilas y poco profundas, continuamos nuestra travesía a través de la Ruta del desierto, alcanzando Uribía, la capital indígena de Colombia. Aquí exploraremos brevemente la historia y la riqueza cultural de la ciudad. Luego, nos dirigiremos hacia la playa virgen y remota de Mayapo para un almuerzo relajante y disfrutar de una tarde placentera antes de emprender nuestro viaje final hacia Riohacha.
