Our story
We were born in Bogotá, but it was La Guajira that stole our hearts. Its endless deserts, the wind that tells stories, and the ancestral wisdom of the Wayuu people inspired us to stay… and create something that would do it justice.
This is how Sumaj Tours was born: an agency that not only takes you to see stunning landscapes, but also invites you to experience the Wayuu culture with respect, closeness, and admiration.
Since 2021, with the support of the Emprender Fund, we embarked on this path with a clear purpose: to promote sustainable tourism as a way to transform and protect the territory that hosts us.
Today we are a green business certified by Corpoguajira and the Ministry of Environment, and we work hand in hand with local communities to ensure that every trip is a meaningful experience.
